More Lawn Fawn Leaves

I was so please with how my last card turned out and was having soooo much fun playing with the Lawn Fawn "Stitched Leaves" set, that I decided to make another card to enter in the latest Lawnscaping challenge. When I was searching pins on pinterest I found this gorgeous photo and knew it was perfect...I had EVERYTHING I needed to make this card work...and I've got to admit....it looks awesome!!
Just a little distress ink, a die-cut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and the perfect cardstock makes this card of mine looking almost like the real thing!! What do you think?

Lawn Fawn Leaves

Today's card was made using the gorgeous set of Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Leaves" die set. I distressed these amazing leaves using some beautiful fall distress ink colors. I just love love love how they turned out!! I then created a pretty fall scene using the adorable little fox and acorn from Lawn Fawn's "Into the Woods" stamp and die sets that I colored with copic markers. I added a pretty little bow made from some May Arts two-toned textured ribbon (in the brown and gold) and then added a few of the little flower sequins from Lawn Fawn's "Into the Woods" mixed sequin set.

I'm entering this photo in the latest Lawnscaping Challenge which includes using a pin for your inspiration. This is the inspiration on pinterest for my card:

Happy Fall my dear friends :). Enjoy!!

Update:

I also decided to enter this card in the Die-Cut Diva's challenge at www.die-cut-divas.blogspot.co.nz.

Halloween Hill

This was such a fun card to create. I used the "halloween hill" die from Impression Obsession!! I added a little Tim Holtz "vintage photo" ink to distress the patterned paper background. The glitter paper for the moon, windows, pumpkin, and frame was an awesome touch!! Enjoy :)

Update: As per a suggestion from a fellow flickr friend.....I submitted this card for the Die-Cut Diva October challenge, which you can find here. Wish me luck :)

Love of Sunflowers

Happy Saturday...and better yet....HAPPY FALL!! This hasn't been the happiest of falls yet for me, other than my love of the weather, smells, colors, and season all together. Unfortunately along with the season comes colds, flu's, and this year.....ankle surgery for my hubby. So, as you can imagine, my life has been crazy busy!! I try, however to find time to escape to my corner of the house and craft as much as I can. My favorite time of the day is the evening after everyone is in bed. I just cuddle up on my bed with my iPad...and surf through all my favorite blogs, catching up on what's new in my hidden cyber-craft world. My little haven :).

For today's card, I used one of my most favorite fall elements again, using one of my favorite stamp companies new releases.....Lawn Fawn's "Our Friendship Grows" set. I absolute love the sunflowers in this set. Each and every element of the set just makes me happy!! I wasn't sure where I was going with this card. I started out by just stamping the images in Memento tuxedo black ink and colored them in with my copic markers, while sitting by my hubby watching t.v. one evening (I'll include a picture of the marker colors I used below).

After finishing all the elements I die cut several different patterned papers with the Lawn Fawn "stiched journaling card" and played around with the different colors and patterns until I found one I liked (with the help of my little girl). I then set the scene and added some final touches with the Lawn Fawn's Hearts Lawn Cuts which I covered with my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen and then my Glossy Accents. I love how this combo makes the hearts look....so bold and beautiful!! Enjoy :)

Getting Ready

Hi Friends...I just wanted to take a second and show you a few of the cards I've put togther this week. Unfortunately, we've had a lot of sickness going around as the temperatures decided to drastically drop, so I haven't felt much like blogging. I have however, felt like crafting as much as I could as a way to escape my flu. So of course I decided I may as well start getting ready for the Holidays....what do you think?

My first card was made using an adorable set from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line. This set is called "Pretty Pumpkin". After stamping this adorable little girlie with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink...I colored her in with Copic markers, paper pieced her skirt, and added some fun jewels from Bo Bunny's recent Halloween line. I also added a bit of glitter from my Wink Of Stella pen (which I can't seem to go without now)....and used a cute foam sticker as her trick-or-treat bag, and tied a bow with some ribbon I found at my local craft store. I just love how this turned out! A perfect little Halloween card for my little girl this year!!

This next card was made using a newer stamp from Newton's Nook called "Wagon of Wishes". This set has the most adorable images on it including different ways of filling up your little wagon. I chose to use the image of their kitty "Newton".....laying on a pile of pumpkins and place him in the wagon which I paper pieced with some cute red card stock. I colored the rest of the image with my Copic markers and added some fun embellishments.

This third card was really quick, but I just love how it turned out. I actually came up with this one while trying to fall asleep the night before (yes.....I admit that I sleep, dream, and think of stamping 24/7...don't you?) I used the new Hero Arts "Color the Tree" woodblock stamp as my focal point on this card.  I stamped my image with Memento ink in "Bamboo Leaves". I then covored all the open dots/leaves with Doodlebug sprinkles from their recent Fall and Halloween sets. Then I added some clear Wink of Stella to the solid stamped dots/leaves....a little twine, some dash lines, and tada!! Finished :) .....and LOVIN IT!!

My last card was my first try at a Christmas card for the year.....actually the first Christmas card ever....hehe!!
Last week I was at my local Archiver's store and found the cutest reindeer punch by EK Success! I knew this would be an adorable addition to my Doodlebug card stock that I recently purchased as well. Can I tell you, I absolutely love Doodlebug right now. They have the absolute most cutest card stock, flair, stickers, twine, sprinkles.....you name it!! I am in love!!! Anyway, I paired the punch together with the card stock.....added some sink of stella to my reindeer to give them some sparkle........colored their noses (notice Rudolph in the front...lol). I then adhered them with some 3D foam squares to look like they are flying over the cutest Christmas town below printed on my Doodlebug card stock. I then adhered that to some kraft card stock that I had stamped with the Hero Arts "Tiny Star Background" in their silver ink. The sentiment was also stamped in silver from the Hero Arts set "Bring on the Merry," Last but not least, a little twine, some Doodlebug sprinkles (also from their Holiday line).....and a foam candy cane sticker. ENJOY :)
